The Society for Natural Philosophy , founded in 1963 by the late Clifford Truesdell, nourishes specific research aimed at the unity of mathematical and physical science. It seeks to recognize and promote work of high quality. It operates through organization of selective meetings on topics of common interest to small groups of mathematicians, physicists, chemists, and engineers.

59th SNP meeting in Heraklion, 11 - 13 June 2025
The 59th meeting of the Society for Natural Philosophy will be held from June 11th to 13th, 2025 at the Foundation for Research and Technology in Heraklion, Crete.
The meeting will focus on "Nonlinear Elasticity and Analysis" and is organized by Phoebus Rosakis (University of Crete & IACM-FORTH, Greece) and Timothy Healey (Cornell University, USA).

SNP election results
Dear Members of the Society for Natural Philosophy,
It is my pleasure to announce that Noel Walkington (Carnegie Mellon) has been elected as the new Treasurer. He will serve a three-year term starting May 1, 2023. Please join me in congratulating Noel and thanking the outgoing Treasurer, Brian Seguin, for his outstanding service to the Society.
I am also pleased to announce the election of four new members of the Governing Committee: Antonino Favata (Roma La Sapienza), Salvatore Federico (Calgary), Reuven Segev (Ben-Gurion) and Lev Truskinovsky (ESPCI), who will each serve a three-year term starting April 15, 2023. I would like to thank Thomas Pence and Richard James for their service on the Committee.
